Free White Paper: Commercial Outdoor WiFi AP Deployment with Shielded Ethernet Cat6 Cabling

Tucked into a corner of Michigan there is a cozy and well run little motel, and like many of these small businesses they desire to offer as many amenities as possible to stay competitive. This little motel was built back in the 1950s. Cinder block walls abound, and don’t even get me started on the electrical situation. Suffice it to say, this is an installer’s nightmare come true in regards to effective WiFi to all rooms/apartments in addition to the outdoor areas with cinder block and steel siding in the mix.

For this white paper, we will focus on the motels single WiFi device and single Ethernet cable run. Let's not  assume the size of the install equates to easy. Some of the most challenging installs you will encounter are the single “one-off” types. Sorry, no heady college campus installations involving a few thousand runs for now.  Perhaps in the future I will tackle that for you.

Here is what is covered in the White Paper:

  • The site and how the infrastructure is set up
  • The master installation plan
  • A well documented walk through of the physical installation
  • And finally, the test results
