Convenient and Effective Problem Solver
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you installed shielded Ethernet cable and had no easy way to bond your cable shields to ground? This is a common occurrence in smaller installations that lack a dedicated bonding infrastructure, such as with wall-mounted racks and stand-alone patch panels. Typically, shielded patch panels come with a short bonding wire designed for attachment to a rack bus bar or the rack itself. Bonding to a rack bus bar or the cabinet itself is completely ineffective unless a path to ground exists. Without the ability to bond your cable shields to a proper ground path, your shielded installation will be rendered less effective or even a source of issues.

Safe to Use
With our truePLUG grounding extension adapter, this is no longer a problem. This easy-to-use solution is simply plug-and-go. The extension wire is six feet long, providing a much longer reach, and only requires a properly grounded standard three-prong outlet (up to Code) to complete your installation. Simply unscrew your existing short bond wire on the patch panel and replace it with this extension kit. Provided with two extra screws for convenience.
Multiple Applications
This bond extension wire is also useful for other applications such as HAM radio installations, mobile communications equipment, and Ethernet surge protectors where a proper path to ground is required for the device to operate correctly.
Requires a properly wired and grounded AC receptacle that is up to Code. Always test your receptacles with a three-prong tester prior to use of this adapter.
